On Thursday, November 7, 2019, the WBA will be presenting a 2 PA substantive credit CLE entitled:
Spirits of High Treason: The Legal Consequences of the Whiskey Rebellion.”
Location:  U.S. Courthouse, Courtroom 8A, 700 Grant St., Pittsburgh, PA (bring Identification)
Time:       2:00-4:00 pm; Registration begins at 1:40 pm
Cost:        CLE $40.00 ($35.00 for WBA members; $20.00 Gov’t Attorney); No CLE $5.00
Please join us for an entertaining and informative presentation on the Whiskey Rebellion Trials of 1795, in which 2 tried for treason under an “expanded definition” were found guilty, sentenced to death and pardoned by President Washington. The presentation includes trial re-enactment and a panel discussion on Current issues on Grand Jury and Treason. Panel members include: Prof. Yochum (moderator); Hon. Maurice B. Cohill; Khasha Attaran, Esq. (AFPD); Robert Cessar, Esq. (AUSA); Michael Ivory, Esq. (AUSA). Players include: Hon. Susan Paradise Baxter; Dan Booker, Esq.; Hon. Maurice B. Cohill; Martin Deitz, Esq.; Pete Fernbaugh; Jeffrey Johnson; Jill Locknikar, Esq.; Michael Palus; Blaire Patrick, Esq.; Hon. William Stickman, IV; Kezia O. L. Taylor, Esq.; and Prof. Mark Yochum.
